Ben's experience at our practice

Ben had not been to the dentist for some time and had put off the event given everything seemed fine with his teeth. After 3 years of neglect, Ben decided he must visit the dentist and decided to book his first Dental health assessment with us at Kingsclere Dental Practice.

What we did

Ben had a Full Dental health assessment for 30 minutes where the dentist charted each tooth on our state of the art software system and used X-Rays to understand the condition of Ben's oral health. A full smile check was also conducted to ensure we understand what Ben wanted to achieve in the short and long term as well as how we can help keep his teeth healthy for life.

Outcome

Ben had a full review and needed no treatment! He no longer felt nervous about future appointments because of his positive experience and immediately booked another Dental health assessment for 6 months, as advised by his dentist.

"I hadn't gone for a check-up in more than 3 years. I kept saying I needed to, but why go if there's nothing wrong? I had no sensitivity or spotting but I thought I should 'go!', so I did! I came in to have a Dental Health check along with a scale and polish with the Hygienist. I enjoyed the experience! Not many people would say that about the dentist, especially me! My dentist at Kingsclere Dental Practice was excellent, he was very pleasant and after my check I was informed no treatment was needed. Everyone at Kingsclere Dental Practice made me feel at ease. I was a bit shocked that a hygienist visit had gone from £81 to £99 without any prior notice and the fact the appointment had been booked 6 months ago the old price was not honoured, or a gradual increase was offered! But the experience was very good, well explained about the new technology on the cleaning and my teeth feel exceptionally clean but definitely feel it’s at a high end price experience. It’s Alton not Chelsea! The new dentist I saw was very knowledgeable and helpful with the Denplan that the surgery offers. And appeared to do his job well with a pleasant manner, was on time, looked presentable and was very professional The front of house staff are always exceptional very welcoming and accommodating. Shame they get the brunt of the “disgruntled” customer but can’t fault them at all on how they deal with it. Overall it was a good experience but £170 for a hygienist and check up really is not cheap! And very little incentive to stay at the practice if prices go up much more!

The whole appointment was delightful. All staff were pleasant and cheerful to talk to and I didn't feel rushed by anyone. Clear and helpful explanations were given and the dentist and I were able to discuss several possibilities for treatment. The dentist listened to my suggestions for a best way forward and together we decided on the best plan - this made me feel valued and positive about the outcomes.

We saw Preetpal Marjara - his manner is incredibly kind, caring and approachable - suiting the young patient in the chair. He delivered advice with confidence and kindness, making it all the easier for the patient to take on board.

Had to wait about 10 minutes for appointment but dentist (Mo) came himself to collect me from the waiting room, apologised, and explained reason for delay (an emergency appointment for a patient with a severe problem.) I really appreciated that. Mo was friendly and efficient and explained everything he did. A very stress free and positive experience.
